TERM 3:

Father's Day Liturgy

A beautiful liturgy was held on Wednesday for our fathers. Our readers spoke clearly and confidently, and the other Year 2 students were very sensible and respectful. It was fantastic to see such a turn out of smiling parents, grandparents, and family friends. A lovely way to celebrate our father's love. Each student also made a hand to place on a tree that represented the fathers' of each classroom. They looked fantastic displayed up the front, and are now hanging in our classrooms if you would like to have a look. Please keep in your prayers Mrs Barr's family as her father recently passed away during this time.

Parables of Jesus

In the last few weeks we have read and discussed many different stories of Jesus. By the end of Week 6 we will create a class set of mini books that represent our favourite and most remembered stories (in relation to Book Week).

The stories we have focused on:

John the Baptist
The Lost Sheep
The Prodical Son
Jesus lost in the temple
An angel visits Mary (birth of jesus and wise men)

These are our 'lost sheep'

Thank you to Joseph's family who let us borrow their nativity scene

TERM 2:

Celebrating Difference

In Room 1 we talked about how we can celebrate difference. We agreed that no one looks the same and that we would be very boring if we did. We agreed not to judge others based on their appearances and that we should be proud about what makes us unique and special.

God is Like...

We did an Art activity to think about what God is like. The children made some lovely posters. Here are a few.
